My Novel "Enthusiasm" Won Pinnacle Book Achievement Award for Spring 2010

This afternoon when I was off from work, after I had lunch and was cooking fried banana cake, I took a chance to go online and check my email. The subject of the first email on the top seemed interesting, written You Are a Pinnacle Book Ac . . .
I clicked ‏and WOW!!!! I won and got an award, Pinnacle Book Achievement Award for Spring 2010 category Novel. I wanted to cry but I could not. I wanted to scream but I could not. I wanted to hug my husband but he was not in home-he was in his way going to his new job, so I decided to email this exciting news to all KabarIndonesia Editorial members. It wasn't enough for me, then I write this post.

"Enthusiasm" Giveaway Contest Participants

Yay!!! . . . Finally I have five participants for my first giveaway contest so far. Some of friends, they prefered to buy my book than participate in this contest, especially to those who want my autograph on the book. Some of them were interested but they didn't send any entries till the end of the date.

Now, I am so very proud to have very supported friends in the blogosphere and I would like to introduce them shortyly one by one:

1. Henny Listyowati is the first participant who lives in Jakarta-Indonesia. She is also the first Indonesian who bought "Enthusiasm" in E-book version via Xlibris and she still wants to have it imprint with my autograph and beautiful bookmark. She was one of the students of the online writing course I was leading and has education background in Psychology . Her entry is in Indonesian.
2. Blue Dreamer is the second participant who lives in Cavite-Philippines. He is one of the most bloggers who gives a lot of support for my personal blog and I amaze with how big enthusiasm he has shown to be in this contest. He is still young but I am so very proud of him. He always wants to be the best in everything he does, especially in his education background as a teacher and as a blogger so I'm not surprised if he has a lot of fans in the blogosphere. His entry is in English.
3. Stephanie Setiyadi is the third participant who lives in Surabaya-Indonesia. She is the youngest participant in this contest. I also would like you to know that she was my ex-student. I ever gave private course to her when she was in junior high school. She ever got an honorable mentioned in English telling story in Surabaya for Students under 13 years old. I taught her to be the best in her performance and she did and I was so proud of her. To celebrate that moment, her family invited me to play bowling together. Now she is taking study in the college. Her entry is in Indonesian.
4. Blue Jasmine is the fourth participant who lives in Surabaya-Indonesia. She is my old friend and we were in the same work at Landscape Contractor and Consultant, Stella Flora in Surabaya. She is an architect and very energetic. She drew and calculated the whole project budgets and I helped her sometimes in doing them but most of work I did was in the field, handling many projects that sometimes made me stressful, he, he . . . but I was lucky I could have big chance and worthy experiences working at many famous projects: PT. Pakuwon Jati, PT. Citra Land, Sheraton Hotel, Shangrilla Hotel, and many others. Her entry is in English.

5. Mariuca is the fifth participant and lives in Kuala Lumpur-Malaysia. She is a freelance writer and works at home, and one of the most supported friends I have in the blogosphere. If you're a blogger and like making money and have fun in blogosphere, you should learn from her. She is the most enthusiastic blogger I ever know and don't count how many fans she has. She has a lot. Her entry is in English.

News of the Day

Dear All,

It has been several weeks after my surgery and I feel better and better everyday. I am still taking absent from KabarIndonesia to do my duty and will finish leading online writing course in the next two weeks. I'm planning to be active again at KabarIndoensia in May 2010.

Btw, this time I have a special message for my blogger friend, Mariuca who ever participate in my small event. She was the first person who answered my question correctly that I was pregnant through my Birthday poem (I still owe something for her and I hope she will be interested to participate in my contest). Then in the next two weeks I have to have surgery. Well, my husband and I were fine after we got a news that there was no baby but only growing placenta. Everything happened in life because of God's will and I believe it was the best for me. Till now I still haven't gotten a result for my pathology test. I heard that if I don't get, it means its result is fine. I really hope so. I have tried to call them but till now there is no report, so I thing it will be fine.

Now, what's the next news for my book? This always drives me so excited everytime I would like to announce it. I have heard that KabarIndonesia Executive Director in Netherlands has received my book and he will read it soon. He also would like to plan spreading my book's news via KabarIndoensia. I thank for his generous heart.

A Testimony of Novel "Enthusiasm" from Michael J. Talley

On Saturday night (04/03/2010) when I was online at the second floor of my house, my little daughter handed me a white envelope. She thought it was an information letter from a neighbor that Easter Bunny would come on Sunday morning and hide some eggs in our frontyard and backyard. She was so excited. When I read the sender's name--Michael J. Talley--I told her, it wasn't from the Easter Bunny but a letter from a neighbor who lives in front of our house. She was OK after I told her that on Sunday morning we both would have fun at church, went home, and hunt the eggs at our yard.

I immediately opened it and could not wait to read it. I knew it was his comment after reading my novel, Enthusiasm. He is the first person who bought my novel directly from me and has donated $100.00 for my mission.

Below is his testimony:

I want to say that your husband and children are so very lucky to have such a remarkable woman for a wife and excellent mother. Your talents in Indonesian cooking and your skills as a mother are truly remarkable. If I could speak your language as well as you speak ours, it would be a miracle. Gregory's poem to you is very nice.

In closing my comment of your five stars novel may all your wonderful dream be always blessed.

Thank you for the flowers

This time I would like to thank to Ruth Abbott for her visit after a day of my surgery. We both had a very nice talk at home though it wasn't long. She brought a medium pot of yellow Lily and two bowls of soup for me. I love the color of the flowers and the soup really helped me during that difficult time. Thank you Ruth for your kindness and love.

Several days later I got a colorful arranging flowers from Wal-Mart family where I work now. Thank you for the support and attention. All are very appreciated and they made me feel good.

2010 Family Celebration

Dear Family and Friends,

What a great day we had last Saturday afternoon, on April 3, 2010. We had special day to celebrate my husband's golden birthday. I was very glad because I could walk fine though it wasn't still good enough to move too much and lift the heavy stuff.

At the same time I also handed a small and special gift to my daughter's birthday gift, Mimi who has been 18 years old last month. I also gave a special gift--my "Enthusiasm" book--to all family members to celebrate launching of my first novel "Enthusiasm". My novel will attend at Book Expo America (BEA) 2010 in New York next month. If you live there, take a look and visit to this special event as the biggest book fair in USA. This event is special because it's for the new book title showcase only.
