If you would like to read the recent reviews, there are two new reviews from Ted Alasis (JM Northern Media, LLC) and my friend, Ruth in Jakarta who just came back from Sydney, Australia.

NOVEL ENTHUSIASM: The Recent News about the National Morning Talk Show

Two next days will be my 3rd book signing that will be held at Parkesburg Free Library at 10.30 AM-1.30 PM. For more details about this event, please, visit Abbottsbooks.com.

If you read my last post before this post (2 days ago), I'm sure you don't want to miss the news I'm going to share here.

Yesterday when I was planning to call Special Guest Coordinator TheBalancingAct.com (Lifetime Television Show), he called me first. So that was the 2nd call from him. We had very nice and long talk. He asked me about my book and I explained it to him enthusiastically. He was very glad finding the right book for his show and he loved the title, Enthusiasm, especially the message I'm going to tell to the audience. I was glad hearing how enthusiastic he was about my book. Then he explained detail about the show that was more educational than commercial. That was good and I was glad to hear that. If we both dealed with everything, the show would be on at least in December 2010. They need to prepare at least 2 months for a talk show. Also the host needs to read my book, too. But it was sad, I had to cancel for that time for the show because I had to put some fee first--before they processed my show--that was not in small amount. Even I had to pay for my own transportation and my own accomodation. Well, the amount he mentioned was a big amount for me, probably not for the best selling author or the author who has a lot of money for their book marketing budget.

Then I thought in different way. How about if I'm as Stephanie Meyer or J.K. Rowling? Do they still ask about the fee and the author should responsible to pay for her transportation and acomodation? I don't think so. Or probably they would not be interested to appear on their show because they have been famous already. That means they have to find big sponsors to support the cost in inviting them. Well, I'm a self-published author that is impossible to be a best selling author and I tried to explain to him and he understood.

I even asked him how his team could find about my book. He said they were searching the books that have gotten book awards and found mine. They thought my book would be fit for their show. That info blew fresh air in my mind and heart. That is enough to me to know that my book is capable for the National morning talk show, although I still can not make it right now.

With the cost more than 40 thousands dollars per show from hundreds of sponsors they have now, and still ask the fee from their special guest, like me? I think I'm not a special guest anymore, ha, ha, . . . But I can understand, that is a business. What the things don't make any money in this country? Anything, if you're smart in creating it and see there is a chance to make it happen.
How smart they are in making more money/benefits for their company? Well, it would be great investment for a new author--I think, especially this is a National Television Show. I believe the amount he mentioned is worthy for a new author. But I don't want to force myself. I believe there is still more chances and other ways. I just need to keep my strong faith and HE would pick the right one for me. If HE has let me begin this journey, HE will give the best for me, even it is small. We don't need the great things to be a great blessing. HE will use anyone of us if we're ready and say "yes" for HIS Plan.

Well, anyway . . . who wants to be the sponsors for me for this show?? If the sponsor comes from airplane company, they can give sponsor by giving me at least a ticket to fly to Florida. If the sponsor comes from the Hotel company, they should give me at least a night to stay in Florida and has to be close with the Lifetime TV Studio. And any companies who would like to support for the fee, they can advertise about their companies in my blogs. If you think this is a great idea and you're interested to be my sponsor, be free to send me a message and we can have more discussion via email and phone. You can reach me by clicking "contact' at a link bar on the top of this blog, or go to Abbottsbooks.com and fill out the online contact form, or you may reach me via Facebook.

If I won't make it next year, it would be fine. The most important now, I have to finish my translating soon and wish my novel publication in Indonesia next year will get very good response from the public in my own country and many readers will get motivated and inspired by my own story. That is important for right now.

I Got A Call From National Morning Talk Show--Lifetime Television

Today I have a great news. When I came back from Parkesburg Library to meet Tom, a Director of Parkesburg Free Library and to see the place where I'm going to have for my book signing on this Saturday, September 25, I checked the telephone seeing who had called when I was not in home. One of the names appeared: 02 Media Inc. My heart said that phone was for me but I had not checked that message yet.

After having lunch, picking my daughter up from school and went online, my heart said, I should checked that message. OMG, that was right!! That message is for me. A special guest coordinator from National Morning Talk Show tried to reach me to get to know about my book that might fit for their show. I was thrilled. I grabbed the pen and any paper near me, and repeated that message again to write down his name, phone number and its website. But it was a pity, I just left a message when I called him. Probably he was out of office. But tomorrow I would like to call him back. Guys, I hope I won't be nervous tomorrow when talk to him on the phone.

Wish me luck, a big miracle will come!!! Thank you for your support.

NOVEL ENTHUSIASM: Book Signing at Parkesburg Library, September 25

Hello All,

This afternoon I got an offering from Tom Knecth, Director of Parkesburg Library to have book signing at Parkesburg Library (105 West Street, Parkesburg, PA 19365, Phone: 610-857-5165) during Parkesburg's Community Day, on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 10 AM-2 PM.

He said it would be many people to come during that event and I'm so excited.

Parkesburg's Community Day will be held in Minch Park (outside the library). It will be in Sunny day so I think we would have a very nice day during this event.

If you live in Parkesburg or not far from there and you're interested to come to that event, don't forget to visit the library. They are going to have book sale and I also will be there to do book signing. As same as before, I will give 10% off, e-book giveaway from my sponsor (Resources for Moms and Kids), door prize, and 0.50 cents for every purchased book will be donated to Parkesburg Library.

Make a plan and meet me there and have fun to celebrate that event! (*)

FAMILY NEWS: SMS Last Night

This morning I woke up early and could not sleep. Around 30 minutes I just tried to go back to sleep but still, I could not. I stood up and grabbed my HP. There was a message from my brother in Indonesia. I was shock. His message said one of our cousins passed away because of heart attack yesterday night and this morning his family had burried him.

I almost didn't believe it. Last Saturday he just replied my message via FB, told me that he and his family would visit his hometown to celebrate Eid and he was happy informing me that his oldest son has been accepted at one of the most famous institutes in Indonesia: ITB Bandung.

Life is very short, isn't it? And we really don't know when HE would bring us to HIM, anytime and anywhere. Are we ready? Probably this will be more important for the family who have been left. We live in this world not only for ourselves but for our family, too. Every action we make should reflect to them. We can bring bad and good for our family, it depends of what we have done. So, have we done the best thing to our family?
I think now is my family turn to need and see what we are going to face in the future. I just have a HOPE from HIM who gives me a life, and I may ask HIM to give the most of what my family need; health and wisdom. Amen.

Now, I really would like to remember him, my cousin, Wawan Setiawan who has passed away in his age 45 years old, leaves his beautiful wife with 4 sons. He sent this picture last year when he found me via Facebook.

May his family get comfort and strength during this hard time. I am sad. He was a very good man, friendly and loved his family.

I think I should not sink in this sadness but I have other things that need to be brought in prayer, my husband, my children, and me. What a future will be like, I don't know. But one thing I believe, we should learn from every moment that has been happened in our life. Remember, LIFE IS VERY SHORT!!! DO THE BEST THING IN YOUR LIFE FOR YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILY!!!

Ten Practical Ways to Increase Your Abundance (10)

PRESENCE: I am Fully Present in My Life
(Sponsored by Dr. Robert Holden, O Magazine)

Our modern lifestyles are so manic, busy and hyperactive that we often have no time to enjoy our lives. In maximizing our efforts to pursue happiness, chase success and accumulate wealth, we miss out on life as it happens. We are so focused on "going" and "doing" and "having" that we settle for getting through the day instead of living and loving each day. Life becomes such a blur and the busyness is so chronic that it is almost impossible to locate ourselves in our own lives. We hope we might catch up with ourselves some time in the future.

Every authentic school of wisdom and spirituality teaches you that now is the most abundant moment of your life. They all agree that now is an eternal treasure chest dripping with everlasting gifts of peace, inspiration, grace and joy. And since time began, spiritual teachers have taught their students to "be here and now," to "enjoy the moment" and to "seize the day." And every spiritual student has repeatedly disregarded his or her teacher's wisdom—at first.

Exercise: One way to be more present in your life is to stop "doing," "going" and "having," and pay more attention to "being." How does this work? Well, you can start right now, by deciding "to be" more of what you want to experience. For example: If you want more love, be more loving; if you want to receive more, be more open; if you want to feel more abundant, be more grateful; and if you want to enjoy your life more, be more present.

By being more of who you really are,
you manifest more of what you really want.

NOVEL ENTHUSIASM: Beijing International Book Fair

As you know my book, Enthusiasm is attending at Beijing International Book Fair, I wonder how this event is going on. Today is the last day since it has actually started on August 30. Reports from the fair say the mood is optimistic and that the international publishers' aisles have been heavily trafficked. If you are interested to read details about a report from there, you may visit this link, provided by Publishers Weekly.

As an info, next month Enthusiasm will attend at an international book fair in Frankfurt, Germany and at two regional book fairs: Fall Pacific NW Booksellers Show in Portland, Oregon and California Book Trade Show. Come and see my book there! (*)
