Three Weeks Becoming Entrecard Member

On March 7th, three weeks ago was a date when I joint Entrecard. The reason why I joint it because of the prize I got from Blognetawards as the 5th prize comments winner who got 2500 EC credits. As a new member I learned a lot at that time and finally I knew how it worked.

There are plusses and a minus I have as a member. The plusses are the traffic has increased more than three times. Before, there was under 15 visitors per day and after I joint it, the traffic shows around 45-60/ day (wow!!!). I also found some interesting blogs, contests, have new friends and have fun in collecting EC credits.

A minus is I have to spend more time online to drop cards to other blogs. Well, I think this is a kind of commitment if I wanna be worthy becoming Entrecard member. As long as it doesn't bother my other activities, it is fine.

In this time I would like to thank to all of Bloggers who have put their adds and to other bloggers who are so loyal visiting and dropping their cards here. I would like you to know that all the credits I got from Entrecard I'll cash it next month after reaching at least 10.000 credits and will be used to support Gospel for Asia and promote my books to support unreached children program, Cystic Fibrosis and Cancer Research Program. So, please keep what you have been doing and thank you for all of your supports to make my vision comes true.

As my appreciation, I would like to announce who are in the list of my Top Droppers:

Mariuca's Perfume Gallery 18
Wishing On A Falling Star 18
I am Harriet 14
Sited and Blogged 13
Quantum Indonesia Translogistic 12
My Heart Voice 11
Enjoy Work As Leisure 11
Chaos Tech 10
DJ Tammy Squels 9

Congratulations to Mariuca who owns Mariuca's Perfume Gallery and Wishing on A Falling Star. She was also a Blogger who has bought most adds for this Blog. Once again thank you for your great supports to realize my vision. You have collected many credits to win my second book in series!!! Yeaaa!!! Are you excited, Mariuca??

Just an information, I have launched my 1st book of Amerindo Kitchen in series at AbbottsBooks.com - You should visit there if you are interested to read details about this interesting book. Handy Little Chart

My Friend, Tresia sent very nice reminders yesterday and I think I would love to share them here. Thank you, Tresia. Keep sending good things and I love to read and share them here.

I have seen all things happened in my life that all things were possible; He gave me rest when I was stress; He loved me, that was why He gave me a lot of educated life; His grace was sufficient, I knew He would fulfill my life with His Joy and I have it now; He had directed my steps in many problem I had, also in facing my future; I could do many things because of Him when many people thought I could not; every small things I did are worth now because I had belief that He gave me those as a purpose for my future, He was building something for my future in every single moment I had; He forgave me and I could feel it because I had peace in my heart; He had supplied all my things, if I could write everything here, it would be great because it won't have ending as long as I live; He gave me wisdom in everything I did and be blessing to others; He never left me, when I had difficult life and I felt there were no solutions, I knew there would be and I found it, either in short or very long time. He was processing my life to be more qualified so He could use me as a blessing to others.

He is always in my life if I gives Him a special place. Amen!

Be the Centre

Last Sunday I was late going to the church and I got a seat at the front where nobody seated there. When we sang 'Be the Centre' my eyes were wet. Suddenly I wanted to cry. This song had touched me deeply. I wanted to seat and cry but I forced myself to keep standing and just wiped my tears.

I did't know why, but I was sure that song spoke about my life. Many things happened in my past life. Without HIM who gave me a great strength, I could not do anything. I also saw many people around me who were really in needs. I thanked to HIM for every single blessing I had and could share to them who were in needs. I ever gave private course to 2 children from poor families without payment because I didn't want it. I saw many people who were struggle in looking for the foods, clothes, etc. When I could do something for them although it was just a small thing, it made me so very happy.

Now I live in USA, a country that is very different with my country. My heart is still called to care to those people. With all of I have that HE has given to me, I would like to share to them. Gospel for Asia and Unreached Children Program are two places that took my attention. In every single of my selfpublished books/e-books revenue will be contributed to them and two other programs, Cystic Fibrosis and Cancer Research.

If you are called and interested to visit my abbottsbooks.com and would like to make a purcahse from there, I really thank and appreciate it. You can buy it for yourself or your family/friends as a gift.

Every purchase will make a difference. Thank you for stopping by and reading this message. God Bless You!!!

Own Domain

Two days ago I decided to have my own domain for my another Blog, abbottsbooks.com and yesterday it has been applied. I did several changes for the links that direct to. I still like its template. One day I will do an improvement for its header. Right now I still focus to do several things that have to be done as the schedule I have made.

Bad news, I could not open my project's file at Lulu. You could not imagine how mad I was. I thought maybe I did a wrong things by adding several additional pictures that were overloaded or maybe another reasons that I just didn't know. Thank God, I had its script that was being edited.

Good news, I could neutralize my feeling. Yesterday I reloaded again all the pictures for a same project at a new file. Suddenly I had several ideas to do something that could improve its cover performance and its contents. I should thank to God and not be mad for loosing my files there. I thought I could take a positive thing behind that accident. More efforts for the better things were good.

Another news, recently I have had an outline for my first novel. This was much better than if I didn't have it. They helped me to focus on the line although I have written around 14 pages already. Yesterday I told my plans to my husband that I would translate it in English and asked him to do editing before I sent it for a contest. I just need to submit 3 chapters only to be eligible becomes a contestant. This contest has given me great support in writing my novel meanwhile I have so many things to be done soon. I feel like I need more than 24 hours per day but it is what God gives to us. I have to be wise in arranging my time. Focus for the most important thing!

I hope I will finish my project next week and next month I will be ready to start translating my writings. My second project for my books in series will be postponed till I send it to the contest in May. But don't worry, I will finish it soon before the last summer and then I will focus again to finish my whole novel before the end of this year.

Coming Out of the Cage of Responsibility (Part I)

On last Sunday service, Pastor Jon Damon gave an interesting theme in his preach. It was about "Coming Out of the Cage of Responsibility". We could learn the lessons from Nehemiah. He also gave an illustrastion about his theme as "Wild Goose Chase". The Celtic term for the Holy Spirit was an Geadh-Glas, which translates "the Wild Goose". Just as a wild goose cannot be tamed and its movements cannot be predicted, so it is with the Holy Spirit. Pursuing His calling is much like engaging in an adventurous Wild Goose chase.

Verses (GI version):

1. John 10:10 >> The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy; I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

2. Matthew 8:21-22 >> (21) And another of His disciples said unto Him, "Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my farher.(22) But Jesus said unto him, "Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead."

+

Luke 9:60-62 >> (60) Jesus said unto him, "Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God. (61) And another also said, "Lord, I will follow Thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house. (62) And Jesus said unto him, "No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God."

3. Selected text from Nehemiah

As the reflections, he had couple questions.

My Personal Chase:

1. Which describes me better: irresponsibly responsible or responsibly irresponsible? Why is that?
I am very responsible person, as a wife, as a mom, as an associate and every activity I am doing. If I think and feel I can not do it, it is better I say "No" than I say "Yes' but will give unexpected result. I never hand my responsibility over to other person that I've committed except it is caused by other unexpected reasons, like sick, having accidents, etc. So, do you know which one of those statements that describes me?

2. What makes me sad or mad or glad? In other words, what passions has God given to me?
Feeling disappointed can bring sadness or madness and they are common for me as human being. Feeling glad when something that I expect happens or when something good that I don't expect happens. Passion? I think He gives me a great passion to be a light candle to everybody, either they know me well or not in many ways and through His ways.

3. What have I been praying about lately that God wants me to quit praying about? And what does God want me to do instead?
Well, honestly my daily prayer is boring. I always thank to Him for healthy and blessing. Let every single of my family becomes a blessing to the others. I want Him to give me and my family a strength if there are a life storm blows. Being wise, patient, generous, down to earth, smart, strong, caring and friendly are the must. I never ask Him that I want to be like this or that, want that or this. I just follow what my heart feels and says and I'm always sure He speaks through it. Of course I have desires in pursuing several things but I really never bring them into my prayers. I have faith, if He let it happens, I am sure there will be many open doors for me and if He dosen't let it happens, I am sure He will give a sign through His ways. So, what I want to do instead?? I really don't know. I just want one thing as my special wish: if He permits it, soon I and my family will be able to visit my family and friends in Indonesia.

4. God asked the priest carrying the ark to step into the river before He dammed it up. How do I need to get my feet wet in pursuing my God-given passions?
Asking His instructions.

5. What little things do I need to be doing now that will prepare me for the big things God wants me to do down the road?
Keeping to serve my family (first) in God ways, and eachother, and to the others. Amen.

How about you?? ...

February, My Special Month (Part 2)

This posting should be posted last month, because of another reason I delayed to post it in this month. I had posted the first part of this title at this link which mentioned that February was my special month because it was the month when I was born.

I have created a nice remix here and I would like to show you how thanked I was that God gave me a healthy life and a happy family.

After I passed a whole month of February, I have noticed there were many interesting things happened in my life that I would like to share them to all of you:

On February 5th, My Blogger Friend, Anang Yb sent me an email. He was looking for an inspiration woman writer to contribute at ALB and he chose me. He wrote:

Salam damai Kristus...

(Thank you, Anang. You have touched my heart and I should thank for this great compliment.)

He also wanted me to give a testimony for his first book and I have done it already. I accepted his invitation to contribute at ALB and till now ALB has published my writings here and here. It will be continued periodically.

On February 8th, I got an invitation from BloggersBase.com Team to join there. Here is their email:

On February 9th, I found out that this blog was in the list of Best Personal Development Blog nomination and with all of the supports from my loyal and amazing Blogger friends, this blog has been one of Honorable Mentions for the Best Blog of the Month, February 2009. Great appreciations they have given has stimulated me to keep writing as best as I can. I also won for the 5th Prize for the comment contest and I got 2500 EC.

To give a respect their appreciation, I should join
Entrecard. One of the conditions was this blog might not have an automatically playing music. It was sad because I loved music. But I should be wise in this case and I decided to move my playlist to my other blog, AbbottsBooks. I was still new at that time and I kept learning in several days. It was interesting. Next month I will plan to cash my points and will donate to GFA and promote my books to support unreached children program, cystic fibrosis, and cancer research program.

My other blog,
Little Mermaid was also nominated as Best Diarist Blog but I didn't focus on it. I was glad enough this blog had involved and been nominated. That was enough for me.

On February 10th was
my 3rd Blog Anniversary

On February 11th was
my Birthday. I got my first Birthday pin from work.

On February 14th was Valentine Days, a time to show my special love to family.

On February 15th was celebration of my Birthday. I made Tumpeng for dinner and it was as one of my projects too. You can see it on the remix above. Sunday morning my husband gave me a surprised birthday present, A Gateway Notebook that I have planned to buy it soon someday with my own money. Thank you, Honey! Several pictures of my new notebook can be seen in the remix above.

On February 16th was the beginning of
HOKI online writing course after couple months I worked on it. I am very satisfied with the active mentors I have right now. They do the best and I am so proud of them.

On February 25th, I got a surprised email from Facebook. One of my relatives found me. It has been couple years we had communicated via phone once time and a letter/ cards. She was a wife of my cousin and very nice. I lived in their home around 10 days when I made my USA visa 8 years ago in Jakarta.

On February 28th,
Nancy Dinar asked me to review her first book. I gave her inputs, comments and testimony. I appreciate of her trust to let me read her book and gave feedback for a better thing.
